Japan - Southern part of Tokyo

Transportation

Take train to Kamakura station from Tokyo and local bus to the destination. (One can get information from Tourist Center at Tokyo Train station)

Area around Kamakura

A Sea-side town with about 65 Buddhist Temples and 19 Shinto shrines scattered around the area.

Daibutsu (The Great Buddha) is one of the famous sight in this area. The bronze statue of Amita- Buddha  was cast in 1252, with weight of 121 ton and 44 feet height.
